Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka was born in Minsk. Sergey, her father (who died in 2019) was an ice hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka was born 5 May, 1998 in Minsk Belarus. She has been awarded 12 WTA singles titles. One of them was an Australian Open Grand Slam at the 2023 Australian Open. Doubles is an additional area in which she is a pro. In the US Open 2019, and Australian Open 2021, US Open 2019, and Australian Open 2021 were both played by Elise Mertens. With Mertens, the Belgian tennis superstar she was a WTA 1000s winner at Indian Wells in 2019 and Miami. This feat was made possible by four couples in the women's doubles. She rose from second to third place in the singles world rankings on 23 August 2021. The highest ranking she achieved was achieved again in the month of January in 2023. In the same year, she was crowned at Melbourne, and after that moved up to number one worldwide for doubles. Dmitry Tursunov coached her between 2018 and the end of 2019 and also a part of early 2020. The pair also briefly worked with Dieter Kindlmann between August and September of 2020. Antonio Dubrov, her fellow countryman, has been coaching her for the past few years, starting in 2020. Serena Williams is her role for a role model, closely being followed by Maria Sharapova.
